Sales and Business Development Manager / Director at Clinical Microbiomics

Clinical-Microbiomics is seeking a talented and highly motivated Sales and Business Development Manager / Director to develop and maintain sales and business relationships in one of the fastest growing research areas on the globe – the human microbiome.

The candidate will be highly involved in the design and implementation of sales and business development strategy with specific focus on establishing and maintaining commercial partnerships with clients in industry and academia.

You will become part of a growing microbiome-focused CRO with a client base that includes both national and international academic and industrial clients. We offer custom-tailored analyses and our ambition is to stay the world-leading CRO within the field. 

Specific tasks include:

  • Working closely with the CEO and Sales Management to continuously strengthen and deliver on the commercial strategy
  • Assess market pull to direct business development strategy and internal innovation projects
  • Ensure that existing accounts are serviced effectively, liaise communication, and establish new accounts
  • Generate new business leads: Utilize strong interpersonal skills when building long-term relationships with potential external partners and/or clients
  • Work with internal science team to translate client needs and expectations into reality
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate advertising, and trade promotion programs
  • Actively network in the industry to establish relationships and to identify potential opportunities


About the candidate:

The qualified candidate holds a bachelor’s degree or higher within business or scientific discipline related to microbiome research, has experience with client engagements and relationship-building and preferably experience with sales of contract research services.
