Clinical Microbiomics strengthens leadership & science team

We are pleased to announce that Jack Egelund Madsen has joined our leadership team as Chief Business Officer. Moreover, Andrea Marion Marquard has joined our science team as Bioinformatics Specialist.

Andrea is specialized in NGS-based technologies for immunotherapy and cancer research. She holds a PhD in Cancer Genomics from the Center for Biological Sequence Analysis at the Technical University of Denmark. Through her research Andrea has developed analysis tools for high-throughput screening of T cell recognition of antigens in patients based on DNA-barcoded antigen libraries. Today this tool is used to identify personal tumor neoantigens and antigens in autoimmune diseases, as well as to predict a T cell’s recognition fingerprint to help predict cross-recognition of T cells intended for clinical development. Andrea has a wide list of articles behind her published in high-impact journals such as Nature Biotechnology and Nature Communications.

Jack has a unique background that spans both the commercial as well as the scientific field with Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Copenhagen. As our new Chief Business Officer Jack will be a strong addition to our leadership team working close together with Henrik Bjørn Nielsen (CSO) and Martin Santini (CEO) where he will contribute with solid experience working with all aspects of business development, strategy, sales, start-up’s, marketing M&A- and other high-value negotiations, people management etc. Prior to joining us, Jack held the position as both Director for the Nordics and Business Unit Manager with full P&L responsibilities at Eurofins. During his university career Jack’s research goal was to enable future design of biologically active molecules with increased efficiency in relation to nutra-/pharmaceuticals and his work has resulted in 15 publications in high impact journals and 3 book chapters.
